The 17 goals defined by the UN aim to end poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and tackle climate change by 2030. AWA considers development a holistic process and our work links to all 17 goals. However, our core focus and area of expertise are: (1) No Poverty, (4) Quality Education, (5) Gender Equality, (7) Affordable and Clean Energy, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (11) Sustainable Cities and Communities, and (13) Climate Action

We work to ensure social protection for the poor and vulnerable, increase access to basic services and support people harmed by economic, social and political instability.

We Assess educational needs, provide teacher training, contribute to improving infrastructure and resource accessibility, advocate for policy changes, and promote inclusive education.

Conduct gender sensitivity training for communities, institutions, and policymaker, empower women through skills development, advocate for equal rights policies, raise awareness.

Facilitate awareness programs for the community on the benefits of clean energy adoption, community capacity building to harness clean energy solutions, and advocate for clean energy policies

Develop entrepreneurship and skills, advocate for fair labor practices, help the government to develop policies for job creation and economic stability, conduct research on sustainable economic.

Implement community-based initiatives for affordable housing, public transportation, and green spaces, and advocate for policies that promote inclusive, safe, and sustainable cities and communities.

Conduct research on climate change mitigation and adaptation, raise awareness of sustainability, emission reduction, and environmental conservation, research to develop climate-resilient strategies.
